CPR and AED Certification

The ASHI CPR and AED course provides essential training for non-healthcare providers who may be called upon to respond to a cardiac emergency in the workplace, at home, or in the community. Designed for the general public, employees, educators, coaches, and civic responders, this course teaches participants how to recognize sudden cardiac arrest, perform effective chest compressions, provide rescue breaths, and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) confidently and correctly.

Although this course is not specific to wilderness medicine, the life-saving skills taught are also relevant for backcountry rescuers, trip leaders, and outdoor educators who may need to initiate care before EMS arrival.

ASHI CPR and AED certification meets national guidelines and is ideal for OSHA-compliant job roles, school staff, childcare providers, fitness personnel, and anyone wanting to be prepared to act during a cardiac emergency.
